How can you care for others, if you don’t take care of yourself?

Now that autumn is well and truly upon us, and even thoughts of winter aren’t that far away, I think it’s the perfect time to take a breather and to spend a moment thinking about YOU.

 

How are you feeling these days? Stressed? Tired? Dealing with a health condition that’s starting to take its toll?

 

If the answer to any of the above is ‘yes’ then you really do need to something about it - before ‘it’ starts to really take over.

 

I’ve written before about self-care, because it’s more than important, it’s vital: how are you going to be able to care for others, if you don’t care for yourself first?

 

There are so many ways you can dedicate time towards your own self-care, but I honestly believe that Reiki is one of the best.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Reiki is a safe, natural, and simple healing technique, centred on relaxation and stress relief, which in turn helps to heal the body, mind and spirit. It’s based on the belief that an unseen life force energy flows through us all, affecting both our physical and emotional health. During Reiki sessions, practitioners like me use hands-on techniques to transfer energy to a client, promoting healing and balance.
