Have you visited my energy garden?

Earlier this week I started watching that new Noel Edmonds documentary on ITV: Noel’s Kiwi Adventure. And I have to say, I’m quite enjoying it because, like me, Noel’s big into the benefits of energy healing and doesn’t mind talking about it.
Of course, the former Deal or No Deal presenter is really putting his neck on the line as he highlights all the complementary therapies he uses to keep himself ‘young’ and vibrant (and I have to say, at 76, he does look incredibly healthy!)
Some newspapers have called him, and his practices, bonkers. But I disagree!
Clearly, Noel’s on a one-man mission to heal himself – but then so are so many people, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I suppose the main difference is that most people don’t have the millions of pounds to invest in an holistic lifestyle, that Noel has.
But that doesn’t have to stop anyone from seeking out the complementary therapy that suits them best.
For me, it’s Reiki healing, but there’s so many other practices you could try: acupuncture, reflexology, aromatherapy, sound healing, Indian head massage…the list is endless.

By the way, for anyone who doesn’t know, Reiki is a safe, natural, and simple healing technique, centred on relaxation and stress relief, which in turn helps to heal the body, mind and spirit.
As Noel explains in his TV series, energy healing is based on the belief that an unseen life force energy flows through us all, affecting both our physical and emotional health. During Reiki sessions, practitioners like me use hands-on techniques to transfer energy to a client, promoting healing and balance.
Now for Noel, he prefers to use crystal healing therapy, and he’s big into meditation, too.
But in episode two of this three-part documentary, Noel explains his new mission to build New Zealand’s first Energy Garden – and it suddenly occurred to me that Noel and I have something else in common.
Because I already have an energy garden!
You see, I carry out most of my Reiki Treatments in The Cabin, which is nestled next to the Trent & Mersey canal, running alongside our garden in Wheelock (my commute to work literally takes seconds!)
Usually, without exception, when new clients walk through our ‘energy garden’ to reach The Cabin, they comment on how peaceful it is. And that’s the perfect introduction to how they’re soon going to be feeling after their Reiki Treatment.
I’ve written before about how the lavender plants that surround The Cabin respond to the Reiki inside it (that happened again this year, too!) – and you can read that Blog here:
It’s also a well-known fact that being outside in nature instantly starts the healing process in us all. That’s why it’s so important for me to offer Reiki Treatments within my energy garden.
But people come to The Cabin for Reiki for a multitude of reasons – from stress, anxiety, pain, infertility…you name it, I’ve seen it. Without exception, however, everyone who comes also share one thing in common: the need to STOP.
And that’s what Reiki does – it helps you to take time out of your busy life, to concentrate entirely on your own wellbeing. Reiki offers a peaceful sanctuary from the outside noise.
That’s undoubtedly what Noel Edmunds is aiming to achieve with his New Zealand Energy Garden, and I like to think that’s what our energy garden does too – except you don’t have to travel 11,000 miles to experience it: just pop in to Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach!
Until next week.
Much love,
Denise
