Are you ready to plant a Reiki seed, and watch it bloom?

This morning I went to a wonderful pick-your-own, organic flower workshop. Nestled right in the heart of Sandbach’s amazing countryside, this was my first visit to the secret flower farm and it really was a joy to experience!

Katy, the founder of Grove and Green flower-farm (groveandgreen.co.uk) explained how she only started her business at the start of the year, inspired by her mum and grandmother’s passion for home-grown blooms.

Before going on to then explain how to cut, condition, and arrange her flowers for optimum vase life, Katy confided that setting up her own flower farm really was a labour of love…

…and that’s when the similarities between our two small Sandbach businesses suddenly struck me: Katy plants her seeds, she makes sure growing conditions are just right – but then she has to stand back and hand over control to Mother Nature.

And that’s exactly what I do, too.

Every time someone comes to see me in The Cabin, I plant a Reiki seed, with love, but then I have to stand back and trust that my client has received everything they needed from the Universe in order to bloom.

Flowers grown with love - just like Reiki!
Flowers grown with love - just like Reiki!

For anyone new to energy healing, when they come to The Cabin for the first time I always explain what Reiki is: an unseen, but vital, life force energy that flows through every living thing (including flowers!)

I like to think of this natural energy like a free-flowing Reiki river, which helps to heal the body, mind, and spirit as it flows freely around your body.

Sadly though, life often tends to throw pebbles/rocks/boulders (!) into that beautiful Reiki river, blocking it’s path and causing problems. That’s where Reiki practitioners like me come in, gently and naturally removing those rocks, which allows your energy to flow freely again.

After assuring my clients that this ancient healing technique only ever does good, I encourage their questions, and I listen with an open heart as they share their pain, and their hopes for recovery and release.

But after we’ve then spent 45-minutes in our Reiki bubble, it’s time for me to step back – because those Reiki seeds need time to grow.

But in the coming days, those seeds will always make their presence known. Perhaps pain will ease, or confidence returns, maybe stress won’t have so much of an impact anymore.

I can honestly say that most of my clients leave The Cabin feeling deeply relaxed, and so much lighter than when they arrived. But, it’s always in the coming hours and days that the true impact of their Reiki Treatment begins to reveal itself.

Often, the following morning when they wake-up after their Reiki Treatment they’ll perhaps feel ‘lighter’. But what they’re actually feeling is ‘normal’ – it’s how they should naturally feel every single day, if their Reiki river is flowing smoothly. Sadly, though, life gets in the way, and those rocks can start to dam up the stream again!

That’s why it’s so important to keep topping-up your Reiki reservoir when you’ve got a lot of healing to do, because every time you have another Reiki Treatment, your healing journey takes another step towards you feeling well again.

Of course, you don’t have to wait for a weekly or monthly appointment with a Reiki practitioner to have a top-up – by learning how to give yourself a self-treatment, you literally have Reiki at your fingertips, whenever you need it. It’s so easy to learn, and you can read more about my Reiki Training below:

It’s not like waving a magic wand of course, you have to practice, and be persistent – and just like Katy and her beautiful flowers, you have to be patient once you’ve planted the seed, recognising that we’re not in control of our healing, Reiki is. But just like flowers bloom, healing always happens, when the time is right, and in a way that’s exactly right for you.

Until next week.

Much love,

Denise
