Want to know how to get things back on track? Read on...

It’s been lovely to see lots of new subscribers to my Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach website recently, so I thought this week it’d be a good idea to write a little bit about the basics of Reiki, explain just how much it really can help you, and how it works.

In a nutshell, Reiki is an ancient healing technique. Its origins date back many thousands of years, but just over 100 years ago, it was rediscovered by a Japanese man called Mikao Usui.

Reiki (pronounced: ray-key) is a Japanese word, which means Universal Life Force Energy. And it’s this “Ki” energy that helps you heal, and ultimately helps you get your life back on track.

When you feel healthy and full of enthusiasm, the flow of Ki energy in your body is high and unencumbered. Life seems easier to deal with, and you have a higher resistance to illness and disease.

However, when your Ki energy is low, because maybe you’re under stress or feeling unhappy and tired, you will be more susceptible to disease and sickness. Your attitude will be generally negative, and you will find it difficult to deal with life’s challenges.

Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach can help you get your life back on track.
Mintaka Reiki in Sandbach can help you get your life back on track.

That’s where a Reiki Practitioner like me comes in. As a Reiki Master, with over 16 years of experience, I use focused intention, and gentle touch, to help restore your Ki equilibrium.

And because Reiki works on all levels, it can help physical, emotional and even spiritual “problems”, or situations. Or a combination of all three.

It’s also a deeply relaxing experience, with most of my clients coming to The Cabin for their 45-minute Reiki Treatment, although I can also visit people in their own homes.

So, what happens when you come to The Cabin to have Reiki?

Well, you’re fully-dressed when having a Reiki Treatment, all you take off are your shoes, and usually you lie down, but it works just as well if you’d prefer to sit in a chair.

Reiki is known as a complementary therapy, so it can be used in combination with NHS treatment, but by offering a holistic approach to your health and wellbeing, Reiki stands at the intersection between ancient wisdom and modern wellness.

Reiki is very gentle, and deeply relaxing, it’s therefore easily adapted to most medical conditions and all situations. It can be used safely by people of all ages, including pregnant mothers, new-born babies, surgical patients, the frail, and the elderly.

And let me reassure you, that Reiki always “works” – every time. Of course, it might not always “work” in the way that you want, or hoped for (though more often than not, it does) but it most definitely “works” in the way that you need, right now.

Whether it’s anxiety, stress, or your mental health, a physical illness or disease, fertility issues, or anything else – the multi-faceted nature of Reiki offers everyone a guiding light through the dark times.

I’m also a firm believer that Reiki always finds you just when the time is right – so take it from me, it’s no coincidence that you're reading this right now – it’s Reiki giving you a gentle nudge, letting you know that it’s waiting, and it’s there for you whenever you decide the time is right.

I also know for certain that when you invite Reiki in, healing takes place in every aspect of your life; new doors will start to open for you, your health will start to improve, and your life will be more fulfilling, in ways you could never have predicted.

But you don’t have to take my word for it, just come and try Reiki for yourself. And then you’ll know.

Until next week.

Much love,

Denise
