How Often Should I Have Reiki?

Writer's picture: Denise PearsonDenise Pearson

I hear this question a lot.

Every time a new client comes to The Cabin for their first full Reiki Treatment, they’re often truly blown away by the experience and want to further explore the endless possibilities of Reiki.

The truth is, you can never have too much Reiki.

As someone who’s been practising this ancient healing technique for over 15 years, I give myself a Reiki Treatment most days (just 10 minutes before you get out of bed each morning is enough to kick-start your day).

I have some Reiki Training courses coming up in February (just click to learn more).

But if a self-treatment isn’t an option, then people want to know how often they should visit a Reiki Therapist like me.

The answer is: it depends on what we’re dealing with.

Are you ready to put self-care at the top of your agenda in 2025?
Are you ready to put self-care at the top of your agenda in 2025?

If you come for Reiki, for example, because of a physical pain or problem, then clearly you want to experience the benefits of this safe and natural healing practice as quickly as possible, and in many cases just one treatment is enough to bring about the relief you’re seeking.

However, depending on the scale of your situation, you may find you need maybe one or two further treatments to really tackle the problem, and any underlying issues.

Although it’s impossible to tell at the outset, within days of your first Reiki Treatment you’ll soon know whether you need more healing.

But I always advise people not to wait too long before they return for a top-up; having already invested in raising your energy levels and starting your healing journey, you don’t want to go back to square-one again, we want to continue where we left off.

So, what about people with on-going issues – like anxiety, stress, chronic pain, fertility problems, or other health conditions?

Well, hand-on-heart, I would always advise that the very best way of dealing with long-term issues is to attend one of my training days and to learn Reiki for yourself. After just a few hours of training, you’ll be attuned to the energy of Reiki, and you’ll have the ability to give yourself a self-treatment every single day.

I know that sounds amazing – but then Reiki is amazing!

And all of my students are also invited back to The Cabin once a month for a FREE Reiki Share Treatment, so you become part of a growing community of Reiki converts, and you never feel alone on your healing journey.

But if you’re not ready to embark on training, then I’d urge you to still put your own self-care at the top of your agenda. Some of my clients have been coming to see me on a weekly basis for several months, because they find it easier to manage their life situation with the aid of a weekly Reiki Treatment.

For others, they’ve found that a Reiki top-up treatment once a month is enough to keep them in balance.

The truth is, everyone is different, and until you’ve experienced that first Reiki Treatment, and physically/mentally benefitted from it, you won’t really know if, or when, you should book in for a follow-up appointment.

If I’m honest, my aim is always to get you to the point where you don’t need to come back to The Cabin for Reiki, because your life is nicely in balance and you feel calm and content every day. For some people, that can happen after just one treatment, for others, it may take a longer.

I appreciate that each Reiki Treatment has to be paid for, and these days everyone has to keep an eye on their spending. That’s why I’ve introduced pre-payment plans to the website now – so if you buy 6 Reiki Treatments, you only pay for 5, which brings the cost down to £29 per session.

And if you sign up to my website for future Blog updates, you also qualify for 30% off your first Reiki Treatment, at £24.50. Just click this link to sign up.

So, how often should you have Reiki?

As often as circumstances allow, because I promise you, you really won’t regret the investment in your own self-care.

Until next week.

Much love,

Denise
